Oct 3, 2013 · I purchased the wrangler pit from academy.com. I'm not pleased with the overall performance. It's designed well, but the issues are in execution. The welds are amateurish. The pit has a lot of leaks. I have NOT gotten the temperature by the smoke stack to 250 degrees. The shelves could have been built better as well. It follows the shape of the firebox where the door meets it and gets wider towards the front of the smoker. At it's widest, it's probably close to 1/4".
