So, I thought about going to Glacier, just to drive through actually, since I don't have that much time. The going-to-the-sun road would be my first choice, but I guess that is not going to happen.
Your concern about crowds ( parking, lodging issues) in GNP is correct. The logistic (in addition to less driving) of visiting NCNP would likely be easier. The 3 glaciers in glacier national park that are accessed by trails are 1) Grinnell, 2) Sperry, and 3) Jackson (and blackfoot). Grinnell is by far the most accessible from a day hike.
