If you can get a crap ton of droids, you can go to the void and start making your way to the later levels, allowing sigil bosses to spawn, meaning you dont even have to craft them anymore.

There are some ways of getting gems like just mining rocks, digging with a shovel, playing the arcade (in wich you can get different tems too, sometimes even royal clothing) and the fastest way to get them is to go into the void. Set up 2-4 islands with quarry+mining rods with a lighthouse or three and watch it all come in.Now place as many banks as you can close to each and use power plants to cover the area.
