Auto skills are convenient, but suboptimal. Put them on another Persona, enter battle with that one and then switch to Yoshi. Putting them on a Persona that will fight for most of the battle is a waste of skill slots. Same for Victory cry. Convenient, but supoptimal on a boss-oriented Persona.
