Depends on what you are planing on planting. I think a seeder is good for seeds that only need to be on surface or up to a 1/4 inch deep. A seed drill can go deeper and is also good for the shallow planting but usually requires the soil to be prepared first as in the drop seed type.I finished seeding with the Brillion today and then ran the cultimulcher over the field again with the tines up to try and pack the seed that was on the surface into the ground. It packed a good bit of the seed into the ground but still left some on the surface. I'm hoping that enough of it is in the ground to give me a good stand.
